(1) "Mural dla jerzyków", or "Mural for the swifts", or "muurschildering voor de gierzwaluwen" (2022) is made from pollution-absorbing paints. The designer is architect Radosław Barek. The substances in the paint will extract air pollution equal to the work of dozens of trees. The person in the mural is Jakub Kotnarowski, a local bird and social activist. (2) Hala Arena, Poznań. Design (1972): Jerzy Turzeniecki. (3) Somewhere in Wroclaw. (4) Church of the visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Kościół Nawiedzenia NMP w Poznaniu), Poznań. Design: (1979): Mark Eibl and Stanislaw Sołtyk. (5) Nightmare on Stanisław Wyspiański Street ... as it is called by some. Kolorowa Plomba ("Colored Filling") is the more official name of this very striking postmodernist building in Wrocław. Design (1996): Wojciech Jarząbek.

*Like, it had the foursquare windows and giant columns and glass walls and weird proportions and everything

hemicycle // luxembourg kirchberg

the hemicycle on the kirchberg plateau is an incredibly futuristic building that is somewhat hidden in the middle of the kirchberg forest. it looks like a film set for a dystopian film, so overgrown and lonely it stands on the road. fun fact: the european parliament, for which the building was originally built, only met four times in this building.

das hemicycle auf dem kirchbergplateau ist ein unglaublich schönes futuristisches Gebäude welches sich aber etwas versteckt mitten im wald des kirchberges befindet. es wirkt wie eine Kulisse für einen dystropischen film, so eingewachsen und einsam es an der straße steht. fun-fact ist das, das europäische parlament, für welches das gebäude ursprünglich gebaut wurde, nur viermal in diesem tagte.
